Turn off autocorrect where it's not typing sentences

Turn off autocorrect on fields where the user doesn't type sentences. Otherwise it changes a name or an email into a dictionary word, the user doesn't notice, and the app saves wrong data. Disable on fields like:

  • name and surname
  • email
  • username
  • promo and referral codes
  • tracking numbers, IBAN, and the like
TextField(
  autocorrect: false,
  enableSuggestions: false,
)

Set both. autocorrect stops iOS from replacing the word. enableSuggestions hides Android's suggestion bar above the keyboard, which does the same damage one tap away.

Password fields don't need the flags, obscureText: true already turns both off.

And keep autocorrect on where the user writes real sentences: comments, messages, reviews, bios. There it fixes typos, that's its job.

Note that some users turn autocorrect off completely in their keyboard settings. For them these flags change nothing, there's nothing to turn off.
